Legal Information


How you want your app to appear in the Apple App store and Google Play Store. Do you want your app listed in the App store under your company or your personal legal name.

In order for your company name to be listed as the seller on the App Store, your company must be recognized as a legal entity in your country. Sole proprietors and single person companies located in countries where they are not recognized as legal entities will be enrolled and be listed for download under the enrollee's personal legal name.

Legal Entity Status

Your organization must be a legal entity so that it can enter into legal agreements with Apple. Apple does not accept DBAs, fictitious businesses, trade names, or branches. The legal entity name must correspond with the tax ID you plan to use and will appear as the 'seller' for apps you may distribute on the App Store and Mac App Store. Example: Seller: ABC Company, Inc.

A D-U-N-S Number

Your organization must have a D-U-N-S Number so that we can verify your organization's identity and legal entity status. These unique nine-digit numbers are assigned by Dun & Bradstreet and are widely used as standard business identifiers. We can check to see if your organization already has a D-U-N-S Number and request one for you if necessary. They are free of charge in the United States.

A Website

Your organization's website must be publicly available and the domain name must be associated with your organization.
